McAfee agent 4.5 question

Jump to solution

Hi, I have a number of complety isolated networks with each having its own ePO server. Is it possible to create a single agent and then apply it to the seperate networks? How would the machines on th seperate network know where to report back to? Is it a case of editing a file to acheive this?

TIA

Hippy

Not quite so simple unfortunately as the 4.5 agent also has encryption keys associating it to the server it is destined to connect to.

Hence it's necessary to build the agent installer on the server it will communicate with so the right files are embedded.

This also ensures the agents get the right sitelist that describes where it should talk back to.

Rob.
