McAfee Profiler

Hello,

Just a question about the McAfee Profiler tool.

i've implementd it into my EPO and tested a small déployment on some computers. It works well and could be precious as a diagnose tool. But is it possible to deploy it without he desktop icon on the computer ?

Re: McAfee Profiler

Mr Maqoui,

McAfee proposes to follow https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB60021

(a Product Enhancement Request through https://mcafee.acceptondemand.com/)

This way the 'feature' can be implemented if there is a new release, someday.

Sincerely,

Zeb

Re: McAfee Profiler

Yes it's possible.

In your ePO console goto Access Protection Policies, goto User-defined Rules. Create a new rule and for rule name (name it to whatever you want) for Processess to include do msiexec.exe for processess to exclude leave blank.

For file or folder name to block put the following:

**\McAfee Profiler.lnk

You can also do:  C:\Documents and Settings\All users\Desktop\McAfee Profiler.lnk

For file actions to prevent check the box New files being created.
