McAfee Data Base

Hi all,

Can anyone help me in shrink the SQL database in MacAfee, I find this article

https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB51873 But when I started to ran the command it gave me the following error:

SQL Native Named Pipes Provider: could not open a connection to SQL server [2].

what to do with this error.

What version of mcafee is this corporate ? Asksing so we can put this post where it can get the best response. Why did you put it in top threats?

  1. I got the same error connecting if I didn't give the instance name or the instance name was mistyped.  I think for a default Local install the McAfee instance is EPOSERVER.  Below is the command I used and it worked fine for me(Make sure to change the underlined piece to match your server database name).

sqlcmd -E -S 127.0.0.1\EPOSERVER -d ePO4_EPOLABSERVER1

This should connect the commandline to the SQL instance and issue the command to use the ePO database.

Thanks i solved the problem i deleted the old files from the database and shrink it.
