McAfee Content Reporter Installation and ePO

Jump to solution

I was considering alternative installs for this product. Essentially it looks like you pretty much need to install this on the ePO server?

I was hoping to install it to a separate server and its Database to one of our SQL servers, and they connecting that installation to ePO and setting up our MWG reporting through it.

The supplied installs don't seem to give very detailed scenarios for this. Anyone have any info on the this process. Thanks for the help.

You can install it on any system, you just have to register it with epo.  If you have any issues or further questions with it, you can post it in the web gateway channel, as they support that product.  You can find that under enterprise forums, email and web security products.

My ePO is connected to a SQL server for it's database. Does this allow for Content reporter to use a separate database than the ePO one?

Thanks,

Csr always has to have its own database, it does not use epo's database.  When you register the CSR server with epo, you are basically pointing it to the CSR database.
