May Update ENS 10.6.1 - how to install

Jump to solution

Hello team,

Please advise how to apply the May ENS 10.6.1 update to computers.

Software manager -> ENS 10.6 -> McAfee Endpoint Security 10.6.1 May Update Bundle -> Check in

Evaluation -> clicked OK

It finished successfully.

Master Repository -> Hot fix -> I can see the .190514 entries in evaluation

Ok, I went to a managed system -> Run client task now -> McAfee Agent->Product update->Create new task -> selected Platform, Threat prevention, Firewall and Webcontrol 10.6.1

clipboard_image_2.png

The task is received by managed system however it still checks the old HF 190212 and not the new one from May update (190514 which is already in Master repository in eval). Why ?

Could you advise me what I am doing wrong ?

What is the correct process to apply the May update to workstations ?

(Forget about August update for now, please.)

Thank you.

The agent policy defines what branch to look for regarding updates and patches/hotfixes. The default is current, so if you want a system to get updates from a different branch, you need to change the policy to tell the agent to get it from that branch. That is in the agent general policy, updates tab.
