Interactive Logon disabled

Jump to solution

In our Active Directory we deployed a GroupPolicy to disable interactive logon for "serviceaccounts" which means AD-Accounts that dont have to logon on Computers or used for "run as".

In the same Policy we have granted to Logon as batchjob for some accounts. None of These accounts with disabled interactive logon neither batchjob is used on the epolicy orchestrator, but if the gpo affects to our epo-server the Service "mcafee epolicy orchestrator event parser Service" starts and then stops imediately, and Clients cant update their DAT.

If the GPO ist denied for the epo-server, everithing works fine.

Sorry for terrible english 😁

Any ideas?

It would seem that some account is affected by that.  What account is being used to authenticate to the sql server for the epo database?  Is it a Windows account?  If so, that account must not have deny local logon and must be a member of the local administrators group on the epo server.  Refer to KB81146. The fact that the eventparser fails to start is clearly indicative of a failure to connect to the database.
