We mainly have Windows 2012 servers and Windows 7/10 clients and they all use the checked-in agent version of 188.8.131.523.
We have some old Windows 2003 servers that I need to install the agent onto and I believe we need to use 5.0.3. How do I check this version in so I can deploy it please?
We have similar issues in our environment. What I do, is to keep the most up to date agent in the current branch and older agent in either previous or evaluation branches. You can configure a agent deployment task to deploy say agent 5.0.3 from say the previous branch.
If I go to software manager on the ePo server I can see and import to import this am I in the correct area for this as it's not something I have done before?
You can manually check it into the Master Repository. Download the package from the website as mentioned and then go the MAster Repository and use the Check In Package button at the top to upload the agent. Then check that older agent version into the Previous branch as mentioned above. That's how we maintain and older agent version for the handful of 2003 servers we have.
Thanks - yes that worked. I just can't find the VSE 8.8.x that supports Windows 2003 to download. I've put in out Grant number and only the latest version is available.
When you log in with your grant number, you will see a tab called "All versions". Click on it and it will show you all the older agent versions.
