Can someone point me to a procedure for installing an agent and VSE on a Server 2012 R2 running Exchange 2013?

To install the agent just follow the steps in the product guide, this will work for v4.8 & 5.0:
To install VSE just follow the installation guide for VSE 8.8:
There are basically 2 ways to install, the above guides will outline both:

Also remember, once you deploy VSE you will need to make exclusions for OAS especially on a exchange server otherwise things will be blocked. Below is a link for basic exchange exclusions that you should take a look at:
Also, I believe with 2012 R2 you need to run minimum of VSE patch 4 (184.108.40.2067).

In our environment we added any Exchange Process to the Low Risk Processed, installed Solidcore to lockdown the system and installed the TIE Module.

One more question regarding the installation: Should the exchange server be stopped during the installation and started only after the exclusions have been added to the VSE?
i would do this with the following steps.
- Install the McAfee Agent.
- Check if the right VSE Policy is assigned in EPO for your MXS Server.
- Install VSE manually. At the end of the installation choose the option "don´t enable VSE".
- At the next contact to EPO the Agent will report the VSE product, will enforce the policies and activate VSE.
I'm fairly new to McAfee EPO so can you please elaborate some more about the VSE policy for exchange server?
