Import query from SQL

Jump to solution

Hello,

I need some help with a custom query i need on ePO to handle duplicated systems in order to delete just the oldest. The query in SQL should look like this (field and table names are made up):

SELECT SystemName, COUNT(SystemName), MIN(LastComunication)

FROM Clients

GROUP BY SystemName

HAVING COUNT(SystemName) > 1;

This query shows a row for each duplicated system and the last comunication time of the oldest one for each.

Is there a way to turn this into an importable XML for the McAfee ePO?

Thanks in advance

I don't think so. But I have een scheduled server task, the task runs twice a day (every 12 hours) and the input is the query below. This works perfect

That is a great option. Here is another query that might help. You would need to validate table names - some versions of epo might name it epoleafnodemt. delete from epoleafnode where exists (select * from epoleafnode as l where l.nodename=epoleafnode.nodename and l.autoid!=epoleafnode.autoid and l.lastupdate>epoleafnode.lastupdate)
