How to set an Automatic Response to only send emails when threat handled is False.

Jump to solution

Hello,

I am currently on ePO 5.9.1 and I am working with Automatic Responses in order to send email notification when Malware is detected. I would like to create a new email notification when the "Threat Handled" tag is False only. The way my current automatic response is set up, (See rule below) ePO will send an email even when the threat handled is True and False.

Is there a way to send a email notification only when the threat handling is False only? The reason for this is so we can work with our service desk to be notified when a threat  is not handled off hours.

Threat name: {threatName}
Threat type: {threatType}
Source hostname: {sourceHostName}
Source IP address: {sourceIPV4}
Target file name: {targetFileName}
Target file location: {targetPath}
Number of events: {count}
Action taken: {threatActionTaken}
Threat handled: {threatHandled}

Detecting product name: {analyzerName} | {analyzer}
Detecting product version: {analyzerVersion}
Detecting product engine version: {analyzerEngineVersion}
Detecting product DAT version: {analyzerDATVersion}

Your assistance is appreciated.

Thank you

You can either create new response or duplicate default Automatic response rule 'Malware detected and not handled'->edit->under filter, select only 'threat handled=false', remove other filter. Under Action, select 'send email'.
