How to remove a product in Epo 5.10

I'm new in epo 5.10, on previous version I had in Mcafee Agent in Task Catalog vary tasks to e.g remove VSE or remove an agent, I cannot see anything like this here, I even don't see that option when creating custom task. I depolyed manually couple of agents on system tree page using "Agent Deployment"

So how can I create uninstall task for ENS and its components and Mcafee Agent too?

thanks

Re: How to remove a product in Epo 5.10

You can't remove MA as part of deployment task. If want to uninstall MA then from ePO server, delete the machine->check the box 'Remove MA at next Agent server communication'.

Regarding products removal, you can uninstall them with product deployment task , select product and set Action 'Remove' (screenshot attached).

We can remove it while deleting the machine from system tree (screenshot attached).

No way from ePO server.

you can try removing it locally (frminst.exe /forceuninstall).

What is the purpose of leaving it in system tree if it has no agent?  It will no longer communicate or get tasks.

Re: How to remove a product in Epo 5.10

often I get workstations for maintenance like windows reinstall, then I would have all of these computers in mcafee folder something like "Unmanaged" to remind me on what computer, I should later deploy agent.

Re: How to remove a product in Epo 5.10

Good point.  Are you removing all products, or just the agent?  Do you want it to still be able to get updates for ens or vse?  If so, then you might want to just use the remove=agent command to take it out of managed mode.  Otherwise, to remove the agent completely, you will need to use the forceuninstall switch, as instructed.  Just keep in mind, without the agent, the system will not be able to update any existing products if they still exist.
