How to move multiple systems to a group at once

Jump to solution

I have about 200 systems I need to move to a partuculer group in epo 4.6.  Is it possible to to that using a imported text file or something. I hate to have to move each one one by one.

These systems are already showing up in the EPO server.

Thanks

Just list them with each name on a new line, as you describe

You can do this easily with a server task

Save the list of machines as a text file.

Create a new server task

Configure the action as "Load systems by file" and specify the path to the text file

Configure the sub-action as "Move Systems" and specify the group that you wish to move the systems to.

Save the task and run it - that should be what you're looking for, I believe.

thank you for the reply. When saving as a test file, how shoudl I format the names? Do I need to have a comma or something, or just list them as:

name1

name2

name3

etc...
