How to add a security group into ePO admin group ?

Jump to solution

People,

How can I put my IT Support Team AD security group as the Administrator of the ePO ?

I'm now able to do it manually one by one but just wondering if this can be done.

Thanks,

Under permission sets, Name and users, edit, then add the group at the bottom.

You'll need a registered ldap server to AD to do that.

Yes that does works well.

So I can select any OU or distribution group doesn't have to be AD Security Group ?

OK, I have enabled the AD integrated login of my ePO server with my Admin AD account. But somehow the layout is back to default ?

If things look reset it might be that it created a new account for you... you might have a "userid" and a "domain\userid" account.

Yes that happened to us - when you use AD groups for permission sets, it creates brand new accounts named domain\user.  I believe what we did was to edit the original account to domain\ prefix.  Do not delete the original account!  We made that mistake in the past and it deleted all server tasks created by the account.

Make sure you test this out first before editing/deleting production accounts.
