ePO runs roundabout 2100 XP Clients and 700 Win-Server, organized by ip-adressrange.
Clients/Servers at branch sites are supported by 18 (UNC) repositories.
Every Day I get an e-mail with the repository status information.
The e-mail notification only shows successfully distributed repositories.
Not all repositories do have ALL Products. I need to know (for documentation and audit purposes) the actual repository state (listed DAT Versions….), for that time the report was initiated.
You can check this at the ePO Console by “view packages” , but I need this information as an report, dispatched by e-mail. (audit)
any idea’s ?? documents????

*McAfee Agent for Linux 4.5 (eval)
*VSE 8.0 (less than 50 Win2003-Server)

*ePO 4.5 (waiting for Patch1)
*configured Agent will be distributed by ZENWorks (initial installation)
Unfortunately the package information in the distributed repositories is not stored in the ePO database. This is actually retrieved from the catalog.z file in the root of the distributed repository. When you click on view packages, this file is downloaded and decrypted to extract the .xml file containing the package list.
i already collected these catalog.z files with 3.rd party tools .
But this is not very usefull, because you need to decrypt and convert to readable file, and refurbish to an report like epo does.
i need to report to the security-board every week, and creating hardcopy`s is not the way to do...
any other ideas ??
solution epo 4.5 ??
thanx so far MAS59
The closest ePO 4.5 gives is the Distributed Repository status report - which again does not capture the repository contents. Definitely an FMR - sorry.
