Host Intrusion Prevention

I kindly need help on this.

As i ws pushing the packages to clients I included HIPs then it prompted for restart, after that it keeps on restarting the clients without notice. Any Idea on how to resolve this.

I Appreciate your Support/Help

Re: Host Intrusion Prevention

When do the machines reboot? example: Before windows login box, after the user logs in.

Did you test HIPs before hand do you have what you believe to be a working HIPs policy?

Regards,

Ian

Re: Host Intrusion Prevention

When HIPs window prompts for restart the first time its updated, it restarts 10 min after next logon then it repeats again and again.

Just to ask, does HIPs has its own policy configuration?

Re: Host Intrusion Prevention

Yes HIPS has lots of policy configurations, by default firewall and Application blocking is off but IPS is enabled.

If you haven't installed this on many machines I suggest you get it uninstalled, failing that you will need to disabled all the parts within ePO and see if this stops the machine from rebooting. It sounds like HIPS maybe preventing something from working properly and this is causing the machine to reboot.

Ian
