Has anyone automated their RSD sensor coverage under epo 4.0?

Has anyone automated their RSD sensor coverage under epo 4.0? if so how........

Im slowly sending out v2.0 sensors to the highest spec machines but I still have another 240 subnets to cover and it takes about 5 minutes longer per sensor than with epo 3.6.1.

There has to be an easier way but as I cant query the managed systems and subnet coverage tables at the same time I cant figure out how to automate it from within epo 4.0 itself.

Has anyone done this? or worked out a diff method.

Thanks

I am not aware of any way to automate the sensor deployment; however, you can deploy multiple sensors at a time. A possible alternative would be to use DHCP detection. For this to work you would have to deploy a sensor to each of your DHCP sensors and turn DHCP detection on in the sensor policy. After doing this the sensor will detect any DHCP request made. It has a drawback (or a benefit depending on your situation) of not detecting anything with a static IP.

We are still using a fair % of statics for certain roles, I may have to resign myself to running the sensor installer through sccm rather than epo. This worked ok on epo 3.6.1 with RSS 1.0 any idea if it will work with RSD 2.0?

The installer for the RSD Sensor hasn't really changed. It should still work.
