Hi friends,

How to find false positve virus and rootkit stealth trojen in Virus alerts.

False positive is big headache nowadays.

Please assist /help me......

What McAfee product are you using?

If the consumer/home version just follow the ideas here for false positives:  https://community.mcafee.com/thread/2016

McAfee has some extra tools for Rootkits and other malware - see Stinger and RootkitRemover both linked in the last link in my signature below.

Unfortunately no antivirus can give you a 100% guarantee so always be careful and keep your system up to date.

Are you asking where to find quarantined files?    What version of th software do you have?

Usually it's in Navigation > Quarantined and Trusted Items.   You have to decide if it's a false positive.

We have used EPO 4.5 and 4.6 its send artemis.xxxxxxxxxx

My question how to find loking the log itself.

I strongly agree and learned how to see false positve based on ur reply ( only)..

Can u explain this.....

For rootkit stealth i have seen rootkit remover and stinger..... Thants really helpful utility to remove /find the root kit.

But how to anlyze when u see the virus name ( like Zero access ).

Can u assist me ..

OK I can't answer that as I'm on the consumer side, but have provisionally moved this to Business > ePO for better support.
