Failed attempt to install ePO agent on Netgear ReadyNAS Linux using SFTP

Jump to solution

I am trying to install ePO agent on a Netgear ReadyNAS with SSH enabled.  But I am getting the following error after connecting successfully.

SSH Output: unable to initialise SFTP: could not connect

Error copying file C:\Windows\TEMP\mfe537544625.tmp\install.sh to NAS-6E-F0-94, system error: 1

How can I enable SFTP?

Thank you.

McAfee doesn't support Linux Debian 4 which ReadyNAS 316 is using. McAfee Agent is supported only on Debian 5.0.3, 6.0.1 (32-bit or 64-bit kernel).

I was able to login using user "root".  But the deployment is failing with the error "command not found".

SSH Output: Access granted

SSH Output: Opened channel for session

SSH Output: Started a shell/command

SSH Output: bash: sudo: command not found

SSH Output: Server sent command exit status 127

SSH Output: Disconnected: All channels closed

Start service failed, system error: 127

I guess I didn't have sudo.

Entered "su -" to gain root access and then installed sudo:

apt-get install sudo

Now, I am getting the error:

SSH Output: unzip: invalid option -- 'j'
