Fail to wake up agent through McAfee ePo

Hi,

When I conducted an agent wake-up call from McAfee ePo, I received the following error:

"Waking up agent xxx through Agent Hander xxx

Waking up agent xxx using DNS name

Unknown error contacting agent

Waking up agent xxx using NetBIOS

Unknown error contacting agent

Waking up agent at IP address xxx

Unknown error contacting agent

Wakeup agent failed"

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you for your post. there could be several reasons here.

Can you confirm if the below port is unblocked using any Firewall?

8081 - TCP port - Inbound Wake Up call from ePO to Endpoint's McAfee Agent

Also, Please confirm that McAfee Agent common Service is running on the endpoint.

Can you confirm that the issue is only with one endpoint?

You saved my day @AdithyanT . I double-checked and found that the port 8081 was blocked on another firewall.
