Event Parser Waiting Check

Jump to solution

Hi

I'm running EPO 5.9 and health checker service is showing 19421 errors in the event parser

I have looked at the eventparser_.log and can't see any issues

Any ideas?

You'll find these events in C:\Program Files (x86)\McAfee\ePolicy Orchestrator\DB\Events\

Either in the Debug or Unknown folder.

They'll be 19421 files, corresponding to the number you see in the support center.

They may give you a clue as to the events.

When I had a similar issue, and despite numerous emails and phone calls with McAfee support, was unable to get to the bottom of it, so I moved all the files from the Debug folder to a different folder (to keep a record of the events) and re-ran the event parser waiting check, and it had returned to zero. It seems to be an exact count of the files in that folder.

The Date modified will show you when the events occurred and you can view them (with notepad of similar) to see which machine(s) generated the problem and what the events were etc.

Does it give a time frame for those errors that it found?  Can you drill down into any of it to see what the errors are?
