EPO 5.3 BUILD 400 TO???

Jump to solution

Looking for a painless way to get my epo server upgraded, looks like its EOL in March, does that mean it won't pull dats and updates or thats its for support.

What are my options, I want the easiest, most risk free option, probably 400 endpoints, 8.8 VSE 1982, not using much if any of the other products, 5.5 Agent.

Is there any inplace update options? Thanks

Depending on your patch level of epo, you can go to 5.9.1 or 5.10 (in place upgrade).  You can look at KB86693 for supported upgrade paths.

Download the latest version of pre installation auditor and run through it as well as the install guide for the version you are going to.  With 5.9 and 5.10, there are cipher suite/tls requirements on sql and epo servers that must be met.  The pia tool will show you what you need to fix before doing any upgrades.  KB71825 is also a good checklist to go through, but the pia tool catches the bulk of that, though maybe not everything.

Either version you go to, be sure to install the latest hotfixes, especially for 5.10.
