How should I proceed?

Do I install all the above from oldest to newest?  Or do I installed the big 422MB patch named EPO533Lr2.Zip followed by some later hotfixes?

Hi kokms,

The article below offers a 'matrix' that lists the various versions of ePO to help plan an upgrade of the ePO server.

You can got from ePO 5.3.2(or 5.3.1) to v5.9.0, 5.9.1 or v5.10.
If you have 5.3.3 already your options are v5.9.1 or 5.10

With ePO 5.10 fresh out of the starting gate, I'd suggest the use of v5.9.1 as a stable and established/trusted version.

v5.10 is a good release but very new, at the least I'd consider having a 5.10 install in test for now, if only because of the UI changes making navigation a different experience from the previous releases.

Hi kokms,

As a rule of thumb, you'd (and I'd suggest)  apply them oldest to newest.

Take time to review the release notes for each as some will be 'addressed' by the simply fact that another HF increments the Apache, Tomcat and java versions.

  • Versions of Apache, Tomcat, and Java used by ePolicy Orchestrator
    Technical Articles ID: KB61057

However, some of the items in that list also apply to ePO 5.9.x which presents a point to consider going forward!

As this is ePO 5.3, although supported is fast approaching its End Of life (EOL), March 31st 2019.
fyi:
ePO EOL details

With that known and that some of the updates also applying to ePO 5.9, I'd consider moving to the version and so save time and repeat work when v5.3 is no longer supported!

Thank you, thought I had to update 5.3.3 before upgrade to next ePO version, but now it seems I can just upgrade without bringing 5.3.3 to the latest fixes.

May I ask, is it better to upgrade to 5.9, or can I just directly to 5.10? Which one is generally more stable ?
