EPO 5.10 Hosts not displaying under System Name

Jump to solution

After upgrading to 5.10 (L2) Hosts seem to be losing there System Name however remaining managed and all other information remains, when clicking on a host it states there is an error from the DB ("unable to retrieve data") This must be a bug as it has happened on three EPO instances. However when blowing away the DB and building from scratch this issue does not occur.

Please run query 'select *from EPOLeafNodeMT'. Do you see machine name correctly in database? If yes then something wrong when ePO pull these records from database.

I suggest to open case with support.

We're getting the same thing. MA 5.5.0/MA 5.5.1 doesn't matter. System name, IP, username not showing up.

Thanks @charliek17, I also have the same issues and logged support ticket. Even my EPO SQL (2012) is set to have the compatibility level already set to 110.

SQL Compatibility Level has always been on 110(highest level available for SQL 2012). Yes, I've restarted the service multiple time.

We are looking into this issue.

Please run this query and and wait for the impacted clients to communicate on their regular ASCI and see if that re-mediates the issue (note this is NOT a solution, its a test/workaround):

WITH NoProps AS

(

    SELECT LN.AutoID AutoID, LN.NodeName NodeName

    FROM EPOLeafNodeMT LN LEFT JOIN EPOComputerPropertiesMT CP

      ON LN.AutoID = CP.ParentID

    WHERE CP.ParentID IS NULL

)

UPDATE LN

SET ModifiedPropsDate = NULL

FROM EPOLeafNodeMT LN INNER JOIN NoProps

  ON LN.AutoID = NoProps.AutoID;

WITH NoProps AS

(

    SELECT LN.AutoID AutoID, LN.NodeName NodeName

    FROM EPOLeafNodeMT LN LEFT JOIN EPOComputerPropertiesMT CP

      ON LN.AutoID = CP.ParentID

    WHERE CP.ParentID IS NULL

)

INSERT INTO EPOComputerPropertiesMT(ParentID, ComputerName)

  SELECT NoProps.AutoID, NoProps.NodeName

  FROM NoProps
