EPO 4.5 won't deploy to itself?

I have a W2k8 R2 EPO 4.5 Patch 5 server that sits off our Enterprise domain, but on the same wire.  We are required to have this server separate from the domain, and manually add in every system that needs to be managed. I'm able to deploy agents to anyone on the domain, however, when trying to deploy to the EPO server itself I'm not able to. I manually installed McAfee Agent 4.5 P3 on the server, however, I can't manage it from its own self??? I hope my question is clear. I'm getting the error that Access is Denied. I've tried using my Local Administrator account to deploy the agent with no luck. Domain Admin account of course isn't going to work so whats the problem?

Re: EPO 4.5 won't deploy to itself?

It's hard to determine what's happening.  But, take a look at your sitelist.xml and see what is listed as you "master".  Then try accessing the master from the problem node by:

http://[master]/Software/Current/VIRUSCAN8700/Install/0000/vse870.msi

Even thou the article listed below is about ePO 3.6.1 there are some helpful hints on how to troubleshoot agent install on non-domain nodes.
