Does Real Time for ePO Support Windows Server 2012 R2 and SQL Server 2012?

Jump to solution

Hello Everyone,

We are looking to deploy Real Time for ePO in our environment to do some testing with it. However, our server admins would like to set it up on a server running Windows Server 2012 R2, and possibly SQL Server 2012. The documentation indicates that Server 2008 is supported, but there is no mention of 2012. Does anyone know if it is supported? At the very least, I am hoping to get an answer on the management server, as we may try placing the DB on an existing instance.

Also, with that in mind, does anyone have the Real Time DB deployed on the same instance that their ePO DB is deployed on? Any issues with this?

To anyone interested, I ended up calling in to support on this. McAfee confirmed that Real Time is not yet compatible with Server 2012 R2, and only the Server OS list in the product guide is approved at this time.

The RTE server does not support Windows 2012, I'm afraid, nor does it support SQL 2012.
