Default Ports to Change

I have a Question
1. ePO has default communication ports that can be used on servers that can work on default

2. But sometimes a client will block those ports and use other ports for communication etc...

We want to know if ePO can support Profile creations where a default Profile is already created (That carries custom ports) and another custom profile can be created (which can carry other ports instead of default)
This way the ports are not changed on the McAfee Agent - and only correct profile is selected at the ePO level with the custom ports.

Is it possible as when a custom port is changed in ePO currently this leads to resintalling McAfee Agent allover on the Servers already working.

The short answer is no.

ePO and so its agents only use one set of ports, ref: KB66797

These ports can be the default ones, or ones you define at install of ePO. Then when the ePO server is fully installed, and starts up it will build a McAfee Agent (MA) package to match the ports that were used.

The result is MA when starts up with these ports already defined within it, meaning it will use the same ports to call home to the ePO server.

If you change the ports that ePO uses, (the profiles item you mention) the agents will not be aware of that change and continue to use the ones they were installed (built) with. 

At this time ePO (and MA) do not support multiple user-port profiles so such setups will and so are expected to fail and should not be used.
