Re: DMZ servers - deploying Agents to them using the Agent Handler server

Telnet is the only test of whether or not the correct pots are open. The following ports should be open, if they fail then that port is not properly configured on the firewall to allow communication:

From                  To                 Port

=========================

Agent               Handler       80

Agent               Handler       443

Handler          Agent            8081

Handler          SQL              1433

Handler          ePO              80

ePO                Handler        80

ePO                SQL              1433

Handler         ePO              8443 & 8444

Re: DMZ servers - deploying Agents to them using the Agent Handler server

Thanks for the reply.

The AH server can now talk to the ePo server. Port 443 had not been opened as I requested and was fixed yesterday.

So now the RepoCache folder on the AH server is populated nd up to date. But now I have a problem getting the servers in the DMZ to talk to the AH server in the DMZ; neither port 80 or port 8081 works.

I thought that the DMZ server went to the AH server which in turn went to the ePo server and then back again. Your port list above shows ports 80 & 8081 needing to be opened so now I assume ALL communications between DMZ servers and the AH server go through the firewall.

I will get these ports opened which won't happen until tomorrow night so I won't be able to check until later that night. Either way I will let you knnow how it goes this Friday.

Cheers

Chris
