Change from Managed to Unmanaged

Hello,

I have a strange problem with McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator 5.9

Some of our systems are in "Unmanaged" state, even if there is everything installed correctly on machine. I don´t know since when this happened, but some machines change from "Managed" to "Unmanaged".

 

I can easily select "Deploy agent" and deploy over existing agent. It helps and system is back in "Managed" state. But i am wondering what is the source of this problem.

I suggest to look at Audit log (search for that machine). By any chance, Do you see machine 'deleted' there?

Thanks for your answer. 

I tried to search for one of the machines in Audit Log and it didn´t help much.

Only thing i found is "ASCI - Non-matching GUID".  But this one is from today, i noticed about this problem probably week ago.

The system itself won't change from managed to unmanaged.  Most likely the system is being removed and re-added to epo.  Is the system affected connecting through vpn?  If so, check out kb52949.  Are you also running AD sync that adds the system back in a seemingly unmanaged state?  It really isn't unmanaged, it is more of a duplicate entry or new entry where the agent hasn't checked in yet.
