either that or there's reference in the KB to do with using special or non-english characters in the password.
i use to know about non english charactor password, but it will occur when u try to change to non english, won't it?
It could be a port conflict or mismatch.
Or if Sql were set to use dynamic ports and there's another sql instance running...
Sql by default wants port 1433, but this can be changed.
