I'm looking to update everyone's agent to the latest version. What would be the best way of doing this? What would I setup so that when a machine gets on the network that it would auto start deploying/installing the new Agent?
To Update to the Latest Version - Use Product Update task which is present in the Client task Catalog under "McAfee Agent"
Check in the New Agent to Master Repository and map accordingly in the Client task.
Does the Update task require that the Admin who runs it have the ability to install on the endpoint like it would if doing a new Agent Install? Reason I ask is we have sever different domains connected to ePO and some machines are in workgroups, so having to provide credentials for each domain and/or each endpoint for an agent install is cumbersome at the least.
Do you mean to do a Product Deployment? Under Product Update, there is no option for McAfee Agent. So it looks like you would have to Deploy it as a new product. (Just tested on a machine and it removes the old one and installs the new one). Just wanted to make sure that's what you meant.
