Applying Patches

I am using EPO 4.6

I have checked in Patch 3 for VS 8.8.0. I wanted to test the deployment to my workstation so I did this.

I selected my workstation from the System Tree.

I did a Wakup Agent and Force Policy.

No change in the reported Patch applied to my system.

Then I did

I selected my workstation from the System Tree.

I did an Action - > Agent --> Update Now

No change in the reported Patch applied to my system.

How do you force this to update the workstation?

One thing I noticed and am not sure if it is normal, but under the Software Manger ther patch show Current branch; Unknown distribution type for the Additional Check In Details.

Re: Applying Patches

What OS are you deploying it to?

Patch 3 is for Windows 8 only. The latest patch 3 repost will detect and install patch 2 on XP/Vista/7 and patch 3 on Win8.

Re: Applying Patches

Do you have 'global updating' enabled in your system settings?

If it's disabled then you'll need to create a 'Product update' client task with VSE 8.8 and service packs ticked and then apply it to the group or to the individual pc and then send an agent wake-up
