Agent comunication to ePO server with DNS entry instead of IP address and hostname
We want to deploy agent through ePO but we have two ePO servers in diffrent location in subnetted network. We want agent communication with ePO dns entry for zero down time when primary ePO server goes down. Please suggest agent deployment with dns entry through epo
Re: Agent comunication to ePO server with DNS entry instead of IP address and hostname
The only thing we have for that is a clustered epo server scenario. We have no other hot site type backup configuration where agents can just transfer from one server to another.
I have seen one company set up one type scenario. They had 5 epo servers behind a load balancer, all the communication keys were shared and all the policies were shared. It is a complex setup, but it can work, as I was the engineer at this company for that. The load balancer then redirects traffic if one server is down.
In case you ask, no, I won't assist setting that up, as that would be an engagement from pro services.
