I have around a little over 300 systems that I manage in ePo 5.3.0, but we are having an issue that the product version of both the Agent and VSE isn't showing on some system.
Around 50 systems are missing Agent product version and around 70 are missing the VSE product version. Only real connection that I have been able to make is that all of the system that is missing the Agent product version is also missing the VSE product version.
The systems look to be communicating with the ePo server and they are most likely running the Mcafee agent version 4.8.0 and VSE version 11 Patch 9.
I have looked at a few of the systems to check if this KB60593 is the reason, but it isn't.
I hope that someone in here is able to help a bit.
There are many reasons for that to occur. Do you have a case open with McAfee? We would need to see agent and server data to determine root cause. I do not recommend posting any data like that on public forums. Please open a ticket with McAfee and I can check it for you. We would want a mer from an affected client and the epo server for the same time frame that the agent tries to connect to epo.
You can get the mer tool from mer.mcafee.com. When you run it, be sure to right-click and run as administrator and choose the specific products you are collecting data for (vse and the mcafee agent).
