Hello
We have a small amount of agents within our business that do not seem to want to communicate with the epo server.
In the agent log it reports 'Agent failed to communicate with epo Server ' this is highlighted in Red.
In the server.log file on the epo server you get the following text
20131209090212 I #05024 NAIMSRV Received [FullProps] from SUN-PC-003440:{3A3FC554-9F93-4DD4-A11A-03083953075D}

Anyone seen this before, I have re-installed the client and its made no difference. There appears to be no difference in the PC builds to other working units.
I have tried everything I can think off short of re-imaging the end pc's (which I am reluctant to do).
Any ideas ?
epo Server version 4.6.6
Agent Version 4.8.0.887
Thanks
Hi aja, are these Windows machines or solaris ones?
Which McAfee Agent extensions version do you have in the extensions repository of your ePO server?

The Clients are Windows 7 machines
The Mcafee agent extension is 4.8.0.333.
This problem only effects 4 systems, all of our other installs work fine. These effected machines appear in the epo compliance summary report on the dashboard and only report their system name (SUN-PC-003440 in the above example). No other information is gathered, I have tried doing a 'move GUID to duplicate list and delete' however they just reappear 10 minutes later when they try to check in again.
Thanks
Do these computers have more than one network card?
What you shoulkd try is to dlete McAfee Agent with the frminst.exe /foceununstall command, then deploy it again and try to collect/send properties again and check if it's able to connect to ePO
The PC's have only 1 network card, I have removed the agent using the /forceuninstall switch, rebooted and re-installed. This has made no difference, this leads me to belive there is either some strange config issue with the 4 effected machines or there is some registry corruption which is preventing the agent working as expected.
I'd suggest at this time it's probably worth opening a McAfee support call to have that investigated deeper.
I guess I will, Just thought I would throw it out to the forum first just in case I was being Daft and had missed something obvious.
Thanks
