why macmnsvc.exe broadcast to all client? and the node will be disconnected (portsecurity enable on the switch)

hi everybody .Two of my client reported about discooneting several time a day. I used  Wireshark to view what happen and it was  all about ARP.  then i considered  that  macmnsvc.exe(mcAfee agent 5.0.4) broadcast to all client in own subnets  as  if  ARP poisening happens .

I ask my network expert and they  said we enable portsecurity on the switch so that  the switch thought it is  an attack and  disconnect the node .

so I uninstall  all McAfee product  and the problem of disconnecting  solved .

how do i do and why the agent broadcast to all client in the subnet?

Are you using Agent peer-to-peer? If so, the agent may be trying to find its closest P2P neighbor - causing additional network traffic.

This information saved me ... thank you for posting this!
We have a large number of blade servers that became unusable due to our update to version 5.0.4 from 4.8.  When I read this question/answer, we immediately checked the peer-to-peer setting (why is it default?) and disabled it.  Within an hour, the servers were again usable.
