The audit log is getting flooded with following entry " The user was not authorized to access the requested URL /SoftwareMgmt/navButton.do." Why is it happening? Is there any solution for this?
One of the cause might be permission issue for software manager "Permission Sets > Software Manager"
Solution- Propose to grant permissions for users who are getting this error in audit log
I have similar. The user was not authorized to access the requested URL /EPOAGENTMETA/DisplayMSAProps.do.
ePO 5.10U6. Could be to do with getting encryption recovery keys....
Any ideas?
Hi @andrew_robinson ,
Thank you for writing in here.
This is not qualified for a bug yet, are you facing these errors in admin user for EPO? or for other users ?
These messages will be usually seen by other users who are trying to access features which are not granted for their user account in EPO permission sets.
I tried looking in my test EPO Audit logs and I do not see any such errors.

Other users. Have you actually tested your theory? I think we fixed it by removing the ePO Introl monitor from the start dashboard. Not sure how you give rights to everybody to that. Now we just see lots of:
The user was not authorized to access the requested URL /EPOAGENTMETA/DisplayMSAProps.do.
Which at least makes a change
HI @andrew_robinson ,
Thank you for the additional information.
I have now moved this post to ePO support forum, so the experts in EPO can help you fix this.
In EPO the users can be classified as admin users, reviewers, etc, I mentioned the term other users to point the users except admin users.
Thank you.
Do you see this when the users first log into epo or can you pin it down to certain pages or actions that they are doing? Some dashboards might need that type access. You can also add software manager permissions to view in the permission set. What exact version of epo are you running?

I am seeing similar errors. It looks like every time a user navigate different tabs, it generate that error.
Any solution for this issue?
I have removed the user and recreate, but the issue continued.
Check the orion log for any related errors. Often it is related to something missing in the permission sets when user is accessing a dashboard or other location in epo. Check audit log entries also for any specific errors and possibly adjust the user's permission set.
