how to run PowerShell on clients of ePO

I have a powerShell script that runs commands like Tracert, Adapter name, IP Addresses and collects additional system information (I know about SIR but I needed more).

Re: how to run PowerShell on clients of ePO

Hello @Binicho ,

Thank you for your query.

Could you please let me know what are we trying to achieve here.

In case if you are trying of deploy any package and scripts from ePO console, McAfee EEDK tool should help you

You can refer the following article for McAfee EEDK

Re: how to run PowerShell on clients of ePO

My script pulls the network adapter names, IPs and it does tracert from the client to the ePO server and pulls the IP hops. Do you think I can deploy this from ePO? do you think I can pull a report? check out the sample result after I run the script on my local machine

Re: how to run PowerShell on clients of ePO

Where are you saving the results to?  I know of nothing to pull a report in epo, unless you are possibly populating the custom props of a system with that info.  For example, you could have it then run the command to add a custom props to the system - custom props 1 could be nic name, customprops 2, IP's, etc.  That would take some creative scripting probably, but that's the only way I know of to get the agent to report back anything that could be pulled in a report.

@cdinet
Yes that is possible. I just need the info. Do you know how I can do that?

Do you think it is possible to add these properties into SIR? That would be even Awesome.
(for example : Tracert, ipconfig, and similar simple commands)

Re: how to run PowerShell on clients of ePO

I am attaching the SIR user guide, which doesn't list a command line to run option, but you never know.  I don't know if SIR is what you want.  Your script would need to gather the info, parse parts of it to run a maconfig command to populate the customprops fields.  That is beyond the scope of our support.  However, you might want to use the open source forum for some suggestions from other users.

Hi @Binicho ,

MA 5.5 has 8 custom attribute which you would use to store what every information in interest. I wrote (mostly reused existing code) which collects information from server and stores it on the MA custom propery.

Check out this post for example
