Re: how do I know DAT Version

just to clarify on the terminology:

Virus scan Enterprise uses DAT

Endpoint Security uses AMCORE

Mcafee Agent is the mechanism that brings DAT and AMCORE to those products (among other task)

the reason why you dont see AMCORE for ENS is because there is no extension installed on your ePO server and there are no properties for that product, this screenshot is showing the product code instead of the actual name "Endpoint Security"1.png
it should show like this:

2.png

to fix this please install the ENS extensions, they are available on the ePO software catalog (Menu> Software Catalog)

We have built in queries to understand DAT compliance, on Queries and reports you could use:

"Failed Product Updates in the last 24 Hours" or "VSE: current DAT Adoption" or "VSE DAT deployment"

If you want to check this individually for a machine then click on a machine on the system tree and then select the "products" tab, select a product from the list, depending on the product used (virus scan or ENS) you will see its properties, Virus scan will show DAT and ENS will show AMCORE

Thanks a lot.

But where is "Failed Product Updates in the last 24 Hours" or "VSE: current DAT Adoption" or "VSE DAT deployment" which you said in query and report? I cannot find it.

Re: how do I know DAT Version

I just checked the agent task.

Actually agent already installed endpoint security threat prevention 10.7.0.2298 and platform 10.7.0.2174, the version number is the same compare the task and installed product

please check the attached photos.

and when you go under agent, and the product name still ENDP_AM_1070,  that's why I cannot see any AMCore.

I do not know this issue because we install the wrong version about prevention and platform?

Thanks.006.jpg005.jpg

you are missing the Extension in ePO not the Endpoinds 🙂

you check in the extension on ePO on the software catalog, please see this document for instructions:

https://docs.mcafee.com/bundle/epolicy-orchestrator-5.10.0-product-guide/page/GUID-F029CCDE-953F-4BA...

the ENS extension is normally inside a bundle and it look like this:

Thanks a lot, do you know where is the download place for this extension software?

I think I have to import manually, because this ePO is in the internal network.

Thanks.
