ePO can't update all Agents

i checked in a new V2 DAT file in Master Repository successfully. When i go to my client machines in system tree, then select a machine, then go to agent update, nothing happens and the agent is not updating (this is happening with all my agents. So, i can't distribute DAT file to all my agents.

My ePO version is 5.10.0

My mcafee VSE version is 8.8.0.732

My mcafee agent version is 5.6.1

(Note: when i go to the agent manually, then right click on mcafee agent, then select update security, agent starts to connect with ePO server and get DAT file update).

Please advice what shall i do to update my agents from ePO server?

Re: ePO can't update all Agents

Hello @A_Sobhy

Thanks for your post.

It seems you are using base version of VSE.

Please refer the below KB article for versions:

https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB51111

You can try creating a product update task.

Please go to the Client Task Catalog and create a product update task selecting McAfee agent option.

Ince the task is created and saved please click on the assign and then select the group or sub-groups to assign the task.

Once the task gets scheduled and assigned then send a wake up agent call.

Try to schedule the task as Daily.

Please keep the Dat package in current branch of Master Repository.

Hello @A_Sobhy

Thanks for your response.

Try searching KB51111 in google or service portal.

Check McAfee agent general policy to see whether the feature is enable or not.

Re: ePO can't update all Agents

Hello @A_Sobhy

Thanks for your response.

What if you uncheck the option accept connections only from ePO  Agent General policy.

If you go to the Server.log you able to see anything in the logs.

Also just wanted to know how many NIC’s are configured?

If multiple it doesn’t going to work.

Re: ePO can't update all Agents

I tired to uncheck the box but it didn’t work.

which logs shall I check and what is the path for them?

i am using one NIC card with dual port on ePO server and both ports are working on teaming configuration (both ports are using one IP address)

Re: ePO can't update all Agents

Instead of using update feature in epo, set up an assigned client task under McAfee agent as product, update as task type and see if clients are then able to update on a daily schedule.  The update now feature requires wakeups to work and if systems are on vpn or natted environment, you won't be able to send wakeup calls unless you have dxl brokers set up and clients are able to reach the brokers.
