Hello,
I have an ePO 5.1.0 Server on MS Windows 2012 running.
My main problem is that the ePO server quits running randomly. The login of the webinterface shows something like "wrong license" or similar. The exact wording can not be called current.
In the audit log I found some entries like "error with logging in the user "system_epo-server" from ip adress "long IPv6 adress" reason: wrong password".
The IPv6 adress that is shown in the error message is the one of the teredo IPv6 tunneling interface of the server.
When I restart the ePO server services, the ePO is running again but only for a certain time.
In our environment we are only using IPv4. Both IP adresses, and DNS.
How can I prevent the ePO server from using any IPv6 connections of the server?!
Thanks for your help!
I completely disabled IPv6 on the server. Now randomly I get this error with the IPv4 adresse of the server...
any hints for me?!
Indeed I am not sure if this is related to IPv4 or IPv6.
This message comes when there is connectivity issue between ePO server and database.
First thing to check if you are using dynamic port. If yes then please change it to static port: 1433
Please look into KB#:
thank you for the knowledgebase article. I checked the retated Settings, everything looked fine.
the db.server.name in the db.properties file was the IP adress of the Server. I changed this to the FQN.
The SQL-Port in the db.properties file and the SQL-Managemend console was the same.
I`ll keep an eye on that.
I`m still messing around with this problem
Mostly after a reboot of the server, I get this errors in the audit log:
Fehler beim Anmelden des Benutzers ''system_epo-server'' von IP-Adresse ''X.X.X.X''. Ursache: falsches Kennwort
after restarting the related mc afee services again for a couple of times, the server finally becomes useable state again...
any more hints for me?! I`s really annoying!
