Re: ePO Endpoint Deployment Kit – EEDK Getting started guide

There is a model script for Linux on the PDF but how exactly EEDK package should be created and the ePO deployment task should be configured to get that script run on the Linux endpoint?

You would use the command to run for executing the name of the script when creating the package.  So, whatever you would run in terminal to execute the script is what you would enter there in command to run.

Re: ePO Endpoint Deployment Kit – EEDK Getting started guide

Let's say that I have that Linux model script from PDF called CreateEicar.sh and I want to create EEDK package out of that, what is the exact command line on EEDK, which would make this script executable and then run it with the McAfee Agent deployment task? Which of the following options I should/could use and can both be implemented directly to EEDK package or are some deployment task command line options required as well?

  1. Set execute permission on your script:
    chmod +x CreateEicar.sh
  2. To run your script, enter:
    ./CreateEicar.sh

Another option is as follows to execute shell script:
    sh CreateEicar.sh
    OR
    bash CreateEicar.sh
