ePO Cloud and MAC

Hi all,

We are trying to establish a way for a Custom Agent Install URL to be deployed to multiple remote MAC endpoints. There is no AD instead an OD setup. We are aware of an install.sh script but this seems to only apply to an ePO on-premise setup.

Does anyone have an idea as to a preferred method for mass-deploying the Agent etc to ePO Cloud endpoints outside of an AD setup?

Hi,

seems to be now answer yet. Mcafee Agent is a standard Windows Installer Package. So any approach to deploy a software package remoteley is possible.

Finally, you have to authenticate at a remote system to deploy the agent. Without authentication -> no deployment.

How about the user rights on the endpoint?

I wonder why anybody at anytime would put such a sensitive part into a CLOUD. No matter where it is or who runs it....

* What happens in an Outbreak Case if WAN is down? What about a comined DDOS attack on that structure like we had with Telekomm? Don't say WAN can goe down these days?

* What happens when Mcafee does Maintenance like 6 hours December 17 (Reporting is down > Everybody knows it and best attack time then....Everybody can get SNS alerts)

* This Posting show another problems Local Credentials, LDAP, META. On Redmonmag we just read the there is the 16 options and news for opening credentials between LOCAL clients and Azure (All the thought they never need and WHICH makes all complicated like it was ON premise).
