ePO 5.9 fails to install

Hi,

I'm having problems trying to install 5.9. All seems to go well untill the end of the install. The database is created, the web site appears to be up, but then the installer enters roll-back and removes the installation and database.

There's nothing in the event log that would indicate anything. Standard WS2012R2 server, SQL 2012, (same setup as  my 5.8.3 epo server which works nicely)

Any ideas on how to proced?

Regards

Gary

Please provide the installation logs at %temp%\mcafee logs\ or C:\windows\system32\temp\mcafee logs.

Re: ePO 5.9 fails to install

I got round the issue by assigning database admin permissions to the ePO account. (redued then after install).

Thats Good. Please refer this article to know the permissions that require for ePO account on SQL.

McAfee Corporate KB - SQL permissions required to install and use ePolicy Orchestrator KB75766

Had the same issue. New installation, Windows server 2012R2, SQL 2014, ePO 5.9. During the new installation the sysadmin rights are required. The KB article needs to be updated for SQL 2014.

Similar experience,

Update latest MS patches and then try again to deploy epo 5.9.

Another vote for DB permissions. Had the same problem. After I gave my EPO DB account sysadmin rights, it upgraded fine.
