ePO 5.3 to 5.10 upgrade/migration plus new SSL certificate?

Jump to solution

We need to upgrade ePO before the EOL. In addition, our current ePO server has an SHA-1 SSL certificate that needs to be replaced with SHA-256.

What’s the process of getting a new SHA-2 certificate during either an upgrade or a migration to a new server and how would we convert to a certificate from our own trusted CA instead of a McAfee self-signed cert?

The 5.10 product guide tells you how to migrate the certs from sha1 to sha2 - please follow the instructions completely.

As for generating your own custom certificate, please be aware that this has nothing to do with the client/agent certificate migration from sha1 to sha2.  A custom certificate is only for the browser certificate, which is a completely different certificate.  See KB72477 for that.
