ePO 5.1 Update Master Repository fails with error -3007

Hi,

Our ePO 5.1 Default Task "Update Master Repository", which is being run daily at 2 AM fails regularly with the error -3007:

However, if I manually start the job, it finishes successfully.

There is no other task running at that time.

What does "error.-3007" mean?

Thanks for any hints.

And what does orion.log says?

Re: ePO 5.1 Update Master Repository fails with error -3007

I've got a customer who keeps experiencing errors when trying to update their repository using Software Manager.  I'll monitor orion.log but is there anything else we should be mindful of or pay particular attention to?  I'm tempted to start updating the repository manually but as we don't want to be spending a ton of time on this...we'd rather use the automation capabilities offered.

Thanks in advance for any input.

For repository related operations, the epoapsrv.log is the primary log file. Orion.log may contain some additional detail depending on the issue, but epoapsrv is the place to start.

Re: ePO 5.1 Update Master Repository fails with error -3007

kb89054 explains that error.  The epoapsvr log will show you more on the error also, as Joe mentioned.

 Cause

This issue occurs when a table that the ePO Repository is attempting to access is locked.
Solution
Restart the ePO server services:
  1. Press Windows+R, type services.msc, and click OK.
  2. Right-click the following services and select Stop:

McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator x.x.x Application Server
    McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator x.x.x Server
McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator x.x.x Event Parser

  3. Right-click these services and select Start.
