ePO 4.5 Patch 4 sizing question

Hi All,

Quick query ... Currently have ePO 4.5 patch 4 with 50,000 nodes running VirusScan.  We also have 5000 running EEPC and and 20,000 running Device Control 9.1.

We are looking at potentially installing Device Control on another 20,000 of the already existing 50,000.

My concern is can ePO take this ?

Currently it's spec is quite good (well excellent two years ago when it was built) of the ePO server and the SQL server (Clustered).

So my question is do I create a seperare ePo server to host these or can a single ePO server take this amount of traffic ?

I have just opened a case with McAfee for their recommendation but wanted your thoughts as well :-).

Re: ePO 4.5 Patch 4 sizing question

It depends ont he communication interval and the number events you are generating and store. But 4 cores and 4Gb ram should be enough for ePO server. The SQL DB server is more important. You need a decent hardware server (2 cpu + 8gb memory).

For example we have 100.000 clients connected to one epo server: 6 cores + 8gb memory.
