dbo.PWS_ComplianceDrillDownHistoryMT and dbo.PWS_LeafNodeRollupCoplianceMT are getting big

Run the Disk Usage on EPO 5.9 Database and found these two tables are big. Not sure what are these PWS tables and whether we need to do some clean up? If yes, how to do that.

Those belong to protection workspace.  Let me check into how to purge that data.

Protection workspace does its own cleanup and only keeps 7 days worth of data.  What extension version are you running for that and how old is the data in those tables?

Additionally, dev came back with this..so make sure you are on latest extension version.

Ok. These look like very old tables and should not be there in new versions .

If the tables are still there when the customer upgrades, let us know.

Re: dbo.PWS_ComplianceDrillDownHistoryMT and dbo.PWS_LeafNodeRollupCoplianceMT are getting big

Thanks a lot cdinet for your prompt reply. but what you mean about that these are old tables? I have been checking these two tables for the quite some days, they keep growing which means these tables are actively used. Our EPO version is 5.9.1 Build 251. the oldest record date was May 18 which means it keep about 1 months data.  Can the retention days be changed to 1 week? Any impact for the threat investigation?

What they are saying is that those 2 tables should not even exist if you are running the latest version.  What build of the protection workspace extension are you running?  That can be found under software, extensions, expand epolicy orchestrator and look for that extension.  You can also go to software manager and under epolicy orchestrator, check in the latest version.  Most likely, a retention issue was probably fixed in the later versions.

I did not find any Protection Workspace in our EPO. But we have Active Response Workspace (or threat Workspace). Is it the same?

No, they are not the came.  Click on epolicy orchestrator and in the list of those extensions, you should see protection workspace.  Otherwise, get the output of the following query:

select name, version from orionextensions
