Want to migrate epo from ad server to normal server


One of our customer place we have deploy the epo server in windows server 2008 r2 which is AD server.Because of some issues now he want to migrate that epo server to another server(which is windows server 2008 r2 only but it is not a AD server).So can any body help me that how can I do this activity.I have taken a backup of of epo datebase using sql management studio 2008r2.But I failed to restore that bak file in to new server.

hi ganesh

you should first do Disaster Recovery Snapshot then backup the epo database, but the problem that you should use same server name and ip address for the new server. Install epo and select restore from snapshot.

Thank you for your reply.But the server in which they wanted to install the is already working server.So we cant able to change the ip and name of server .And the previous server is AD server So if we do some thing changes that is if we change the ip of new server and keep it as a previous ip then there will be ip conflict issue.So is there is any other solution. Or do I have to do fresh installation of epo.
