Please sanitize any data you post here so it does not contain any of your internal server names or IP's.  

Here is the error:

What version of the agent are you running?  Check also KB84080 - is the system event notification service running?

Agent version is 5.6.1, I may remove ePO altogether and go for ePO 5.10 with ENS

Hi @avilt,

Thank you for your update. Upgrading to ENS and using a newer version of McAfee ePO is absolutely a great idea. However, I am concerned that you are removing ePO for the same.

Is this a test environment where you are doing this? if yes, then, it should be alright! however if this is a production environment, We will be glad to assist you in resolving it without having to go through removal of ePO. If you prefer live troubleshooting, please do not hesitate to contact us directly by creating a ticket with us.

Also, from the logs, I can see that you are deploying VSE 8.8 Patch 10 on the machine. You can try deploying VSE 8.8 Patch 13 (the latest) or ENS from the same ePO and you can also upgrade the ePO. However, to resolve the issue feel free to contact us via a support ticket.

Having said that, if you can give @cdinet's suggestion a try, we would be very happy to see if that resolves the issue as the error message you receive has an uncanny resemblance to what is reported in the KBA. Here is a clickable link to the KBA referred for your kind reference:

Hi avilt,

Not sure if Agent is actively communicating to EPO. Though if it is showing as Managed, doesn't mean that deployment will work you have to check the communication as well. If it does not show last communication, then first you have check why it is not communicating. If it is communicating, then as @cdinet  mentioned, please check out the below link to troubleshoot deployment related issues.
