VSE 8.7 on ePO 4.5 doesn't install on Windows 7 hosts

It's the old Windows Defender bugaboo.  On Windows 7 machines, Windows Defender is preventing the automated install of all software except the McAfee Agent and ePO MVT.  Nothing else installs.  Is there a way to get ePO to turn off Defender when the agent is installed through ePO?  Right now we're having to fix all these machines manually, which is more than a PITA.
